The Squirrel’s Ear

This is an all-squirrel answer to the Hare’s Ear. I use these as one of my go-to flies year round. It covers all aquatic nymphs, and the coarse hair of the fox squirrel really gives it a buggy feel. These can be fished big (size 8) for stonefly hatches and small for winter (down to 20).
